COMING SOON
Bound is a book tracking app built around authors, not algorithms. Favourite a writer and their full catalogue appears automatically — every series in order, every novella in its place, every upcoming release on your radar.
Free to join. No spam. Ever.
THE PROBLEM
You don't just read books. You follow authors. You wait for the next book in a series. You buy everything a writer has ever published because you trust them completely.
But your reading app doesn't know that. It treats every book as an island. It can't tell you what to read next in a series. It doesn't know there's a novella between books two and three. It has no idea your favourite author published something last month.
You end up doing the archaeology yourself — Wikipedia tabs, half-remembered lists, author websites — just to answer the question: what should I read next?
There's a better way.
HOW BOUND WORKS
The moment you favourite a writer in Bound, their entire published catalogue loads automatically. Series sorted in reading order. Novellas slotted into the right place. Upcoming releases flagged. You don't build lists. You don't maintain anything.
01
Every book an author has published, organised the moment you follow them. Series, novellas, standalones — all of it.
02
Never wonder what to read next. Every series is sorted by reading order, with your progress tracked book by book.
03
When an author you follow publishes something new — or announces something coming — you'll know. No more finding out six months late.
SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Spend a month deep in crime fiction and Bound notices. Read three fantasy epics in a row and the app shifts with you. The colours, the atmosphere, the artwork on your home screen — everything adjusts to reflect where your reading has taken you lately.
It's a small thing. But it's the kind of small thing that makes an app feel like it actually knows you.
EIGHT READING MOODS · GRADUAL TRANSITIONS · ALWAYS YOURS TO OVERRIDE
EARLY READERS
"I've wanted something like this for years. I follow about thirty authors and keeping track of where I am in each series is genuinely stressful. This just solves it."
BETA READER · LONDON
"The mood engine sounds gimmicky until you see it. Then it just feels right."
BETA READER · EDINBURGH
"I imported my Goodreads library and had a full reading history in about forty seconds. That alone sold me."

WHY BOUND EXISTS
I'm not a developer. I don't have a computer science degree. What I do have is a reading habit that gets out of hand, a deeply unsatisfying relationship with every book tracking app I've tried, and a stubborn belief that the right tool for this problem doesn't exist yet.
I read broadly — fiction and non-fiction, literary novels and page-turning genre series, history and biography and the occasional book I'd never have picked up if a writer I trusted hadn't pointed me towards it. And the thing that connects all of it, for me, is the writers themselves. The people whose names I'll follow anywhere.
That's what existing apps don't understand. They organise around books. But I organise around authors. And keeping track of where I am in several different series, what novellas I might have missed, what's coming next from the writers I care about — that was archaeology I was doing manually, across a dozen tabs, every single time.
"I built Bound because I couldn't find it. I'm learning to code as I go, which means I'm building it slowly, carefully, and with no shortcuts."
Bound is being built in public, by someone who uses it every day. If you're the kind of reader who follows authors obsessively, who notices when a new book comes out six months after everyone else, who has a list somewhere tracking which series you're partway through — this is for you.
Come along for the build.
No VC backing, no team of twenty, no roadmap written by a committee. Just a reader who wanted a better tool and decided to build it.
